My first socks

These were done on two circulars using a pattern based on the Socks Soar book by Cat Bordhi. We were given the pattern in the socks class at my LYS (Garden District Needleworks). The yarn is cotton; can't remember what brand. To do both of them took about two months, knitting sporadically. (I have long feet.)

Now, I'm onto SnB's Big Bad Baby Blanket. I'm hopefully doing two of them, depending on how my yarn supply works out. I'm using a nice deep green (if I were having a baby, I'd go bonkers from all the pastels) that is a cotton/bamboo blend. It's wonderfully soft and yet machine washable.

Oooh double circular, you are good. I have yet to complete a sock. I am looking forward to seeing some of that blanket.

Those are so pretty! I'll have to try the double circular method one day. Heck, I'll have to get back to knitting socks one day!

oooh nice work!!! I've got my first double-circular set languishing, mid-heel, while I work on a sweater. Poor old socks.
